Los Marquez Tacos Reviews

Visiting my mom this weekend and she wanted something different for breakfast. Grabbed a variety pack with cheese, egg, and choice of 3 meats or potato. Everyone was friendly and the freshly made the tacos and the inside was clean and welcoming. 12 tacos served with green and orange sauces that were both really really good. Highly recommend if you want something besides sugar for breakfast.

You should definitely eat here. Birria tacos are freaking amazing! Queso is on point. Add a nice shady patio and you've got the perfect dinner spot. Service was great--order at the register, and then they bring you your food, piping hot and fresh. 10/10!

Oct 12, 2024 Update (Breakfast Tacos, Cinco Leches cake slice) Still excellent Mexican food here at Los Marquez Tacos restaurant & bar, on the north side of Rockwall, TX. Nice, casual counter-serve eatery, okay for small groups. One the end of small stripmall along North Goliad St / 205. Parking is pretty good, but can fill up during prime time hours. Cannot complain about any of the dishes here so far, but I mostly do breakfast. Outdoor small umbrella tables, and small picnic tables are decent if not windy. The breakfast tacos were so good, I got a slice of Cinco Leches Cake from the display cooler. Even though pre/sliced, and on a plate, it was moist & light! It was Saturday 10:00 AM, about 35% of seats taken, a few pickup orders also went out. Busy, but not crowded.

This might have been my favorite breakfast taco ever. Very good size and proportion of meat to egg to tortilla. I only needed one to be happy for a breakfast. Verde salsa was fantastic and had a nice spice. Only downside is it's $4 for a taco...but you do get great quality so it's worth it imo. Go get one!!

Close to home, best mexican food bar none! We usually go on Tuesdays ( for Taco Tuesday). He gets the beef fajitas and I get beef or chicken tacos . The food is always fresh, the service impeccable. There is an option to sit outside with ample seating. Very casual, family and kid friendly. You can order adult drinks as they have a bar as well . Love this place!

Ok, so this place Fat Chicken right by my house and let's just say maybe it is t a good thing... because I could eat this stuff all day. The quesabirrias are spectacular. You may think I am overreacting. No. I am not. Cheesy crispness on the outside, a generous portion of shredded beef, and the Birria dip.... Yesssssssss!! Dip it eat it. You won't regret it. The quesadillas have the quality that I love in a quesadilla. The cheese has great flavor but a butteriness that comes from the cheese. This is a winner. Queso-- stellar. Tremendous flavor and goes great with the tortillas (half corn tortillas). This is dangerous and amazing and they totally kill it here. Wow.

They have opened! Stopped in today with 5 family members. Most of us had the birria tacos...very tasty! I had their beef birria burrito, they could have been a bit more crispy, but they were super slammed. The flavors are on point, not too spicy for the Gringos among us. They keep two bottles of salsa on the table, one rojo and one verde. Both are spicy but delicious. The chips and guacamole are good, but the red tomatoe sauce was odd. Eat here! We'll be back....soon.
Los Marquez Tacos
If you’re in Rockwall, Texas, and your stomach’s rumbling for some killer tacos, Los Marquez Tacos is where you need to be. This family-owned spot at 3045 N Goliad Ste 111, Rockwall, TX 75087, has turned heads with its authentic Mexican eats since it rolled out as a food truck back in 2019. Now settled into a brick-and-mortar joint, owners Iliana and Luis Marquez are dishing out Veracruz-inspired flavors that’ll make your taste buds sing. I’ve swung by a few times, and trust me—this place is a vibe worth experiencing.
Los Marquez Tacos Brings Veracruz to Your Plate
The magic at Los Marquez Tacos starts with their roots. Iliana and Luis hail from Veracruz, Mexico, and they’ve packed their menu with recipes that scream tradition. Their Quesabirria Tacos? Absolute game-changers—think juicy, slow-cooked beef stuffed into a crispy tortilla, dipped in a rich consommé that’s pure comfort in every bite. They use locally sourced, fresh ingredients, which you can taste in every dish. I had their al pastor tacos last visit, and the pineapple-marinated pork was so spot-on, it felt like a little slice of Mexico right here in Texas.
Los Marquez Tacos Elevates the Taco Game
What makes Los Marquez Tacos stand out is their passion for quality. Starting as a food truck, they’ve grown into a full-on restaurant without losing that homemade charm. The menu’s loaded with Mexican favorites—tacos, tortas, you name it—but it’s the attention to detail that hooks you. Their salsas are made fresh daily, and the tortillas? Hand-pressed perfection. I’ve watched folks line up for their specials, and it’s no surprise—studies show fresh ingredients boost flavor and customer satisfaction, and this spot nails it every time.
Los Marquez Tacos Offers a Family-Run Feel
There’s something special about a family-owned joint, and Los Marquez Tacos delivers that in spades. Iliana and Luis pour their hearts into this place, and you feel it the second you walk in. The vibe’s casual and welcoming—perfect for a quick lunch or a chill dinner with friends. I’ve seen them chatting with regulars, making sure everyone’s happy, and it adds a warmth you don’t get everywhere. It’s like you’re part of the family, digging into food that’s made with love.
Los Marquez Tacos Keeps Tradition Alive
The story behind Los Marquez Tacos is as tasty as their food. Kicking off as a food truck in 2019, they’ve built a loyal following that pushed them into a permanent spot. That journey shows in their commitment to authentic Veracruz cuisine—think bold spices and coastal flair that set them apart from your average taco joint. I’ve overheard customers raving about how the flavors take them back to Mexico, and honestly, I get it. It’s a testament to how Iliana and Luis keep their heritage front and center.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We ordered the taco plate with a couple of different kinds of meats. Everything was very fresh and well seasoned! Staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. They even thanked us for coming in, when we left! We definitely recommend this place.
